A Great Adventure
I am so, so lucky to have a “marvelous” group of friends* who I met through a breastfeeding support group I went to when Natalie was just 8 weeks old. I definitely would not be surviving or enjoying motherhood as much if it weren’t for them. Since Natalie was about 3 months old, I’ve gone to a mom’s night out that I look forward to every single month. Our kids have become friends and have enjoyed playdates, birthday parties, and outings of all sorts throughout the last 3 ½ years. Last year I think we had a baby shower almost every month as friends prepared to have their second babies, and in turn my friends threw me a lovely baby shower before Miranda was born.
A lot of friends have season passes to Six Flags Great Adventure and I wanted to go with them once before I return to work next week. Since I get motion sick, other moms (and dad) were gracious enough to take Natalie on the rides that she couldn’t go on by herself. Although amusement parks are not my favorite, Natalie and I had such a great time with our friends that I’m sad that my work schedule will prevent us from joining in on the weekly great adventure outings!
