Big Sister Natalie!

Faithful readers may have noticed that we haven’t updated the blog in quite a while. There are lots of posts I’ve written in my head that have yet to be typed or published, and I hope to get to them soon. The biggest news you probably already know is that Natalie will be a big sister in February 2010!!! The fatigue of pregnancy has led me to go to bed pretty early every night, which has eaten into my usual blogging time after Natalie goes to bed. Natalie has taken well to the news and seems to comprehend the changes that are about to happen in our family. Luckily, she has lots of friends who already have recently acquired younger siblings, so the concept isn’t totally foreign.

We recently learned the new baby’s gender, but I’ll let Natalie tell you, if you haven’t already heard. Judging from this video, I think Natalie will be an awesome big sister. Of course, it will be a transition and we’re prepared for it to be challenging in ways that we can’t even begin to anticipate. We will likely be making some changes to the blog so that it reflects our whole family.

So, without further ado, listen to Natalie’s announcement about the gender of her new sibling:

We’re thrilled to hear your news about baby sister! Your adorable, adorable daughter, Natalie, enjoyed looking at her baby sister’s adorable adorable adorable adorable red jammies.
She’s a delight and will enjoy listening to your tummy as baby sister kicks!

We look forward to seeing you soon!

Have fun with Margs tomorrow! We had a great time taking David, Sofia and Margs to the “English” farm in Basking Ridge. The French encampment was on the farm’s property in the American Revoltion and this historic farm has been in the same family every since. Marags, David, Dad and I enjoyed their fresh vegetables, and watching the pigs, sheep, chickens, rabbits, etc. We’d love to bring you both and Natalie there.

    Love and kisses, GG
