Howell Living History Farm, July 4, 2009

Man, am I behind on blogging! There are tons of photos sitting in iPhoto waiting to be be sorted through and uploaded, and even more photos still on the camera.

One nice thing about being behind is that I get to look back at our summer adventures. On a hot day like today (90+ degrees) it’s nice to remember the beautiful day we spent at Howell Living History Farm on July 4. It was one of those completely picturesque days: blue skies, perfect temperature, and fresh farm-made ice cream!

We watched the horse-drawn plow going across the fields:

Natalie had fun walking across the stream with Grandma. First walking on the stones and then getting braver and walking through the shallow water:

Getting braver....

We sat on the grass and watched the Jugtown Mountain String Band play:

Then Chris found a little stream behind all the farm buildings. It seemed undiscovered—even though the farm was crowded, we had the stream all to ourselves!
