Natalie and Clara have a very special bond. I love this picture of the two of them! Clara was sad that it was time to go home and Natalie gave her a hug for comfort:

Teaching Natalie and Clara to put their arms behind their heads and relax:

With all the artists in the family, Natalie has been to more art openings in her first 2.5 years of life than I went to in the first 20 of mine. A few weeks ago we went to Aunt Kary’s BFA thesis show at Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University. Natalie was a bit overwhelmed by the crowd but seemed to enjoy all the art, especially her Aunt Kary’s work 31 Unclaimed Books.
Last Sunday we met Auntie Jodi at a Cherry Blossom Festival in Branch Brook Park in Newark. We were lucky to have gorgeous weather and exquisite peak blossoms. Our only mistake was not looking more carefully at where exactly in the park the festival was being held and not realizing that the park is over 4 miles long. After we walked for a little over an hour (no stroller!) Natalie started saying, “I’m hungry! You carry me, Mommy!” Chris was nice enough to walk back to the car so we could drive the rest of the way to the festivities.
We thought we would try embedding a Flickr slideshow rather than posting individual pictures in this post. If you think the slideshow makes it easier to look at photos or if you find it annoying, please leave a comment!
