A Snowy Evening

When I picked Natalie up at Melissa’s the other day, the kids were happily playing outside in the snow. After having several dustings, icy and wet snows, we finally got enough decent snow to play in (figures the snow would come after two 50 degree days!). The only way I could convince Natalie to leave was by promising her that we could play in the snow at our house. It was getting dark by the time we got home, but we still had a good time! Natalie was enthralled with the snow.

Making snowballs:
"I made snowballs!"

Jumping off the back deck:
Ready to jump

Trying out the frozen slide (a little too sticky!):
At the top of the slide

"I need a push!"

Helping shovel:
"I want my own shovel!"

Trying out her car:
"Push me please!"

When it started to get really dark, I decided having her lie down to make snow angels would be a good way to convince her she was cold enough to go inside. Worked like a charm!

"Can I get up now??"

Getting dark, time to go inside
