Auntie Jodi was visiting two weekends ago, so of course we took her to our favorite farm! I think Terhune’s might start charging us rent. First, we did the usual farm stuff, like ride the tractor:

And we ate apple cider donuts:

And measured Natalie, who is a lot taller than she was last year:

Then Jodi suggested Natalie go on a pony ride. I hadn’t thought to get Natalie a pony ride this fall because when we attempted one in June, Natalie was terrified. David had a great time and Natalie appeared excited about riding a pony—up until we tried to put her on the horse. Then she started crying hysterically and we haven’t attempted another pony ride since. So when Jodi offered to buy the ticket, I warned her that she might be wasting her money. You may recall that Auntie Jodi took Natalie for her first carousel ride, almost exactly a year ago.
Turns out, Natalie loved riding the pony! Look how proud her Mama is, while Natalie herself looks totally nonchalant:

uh oh… I think this hobby falls under Kary’s domain. Just wait till she begs to join the 4H horse club!
